Your first visit

We pledge to do our very best to ensure that your first visit to Campbell Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center is a pleasant patient experience. Your appointment will begin with a detailed medical history, followed by a consultation with Dr. William Campbell. Dr. Campbell will review your history with you, assess your current Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery needs and suggest the best course of treatment. Whenever possible, procedures will be provided the same day. Unfortunately, complications and medical safety occasionally won’t allow this and treatments must be scheduled for a later date. Similarly, patients who will receive IV sedation or general anesthesia in the course of treatment must have a pre-operative evaluation before the day of surgery.

DENTAL X-RAYS & 3D SCANS

If your dentist or doctor have taken X-rays in relation to the trouble you are currently experiencing, please bring them to your initial consultation for our review. Depending on what we find, we may need to take a panoramic X-ray (“Panorex”) with our in-office, 3D cone-beam scanner. This amazingly detailed scan will allow Dr. Campbell to make a precise diagnosis and create the optimal treatment plan for your needs.

To make your consultation even simpler and more expedited, please handle the following in advance:

  • From your dentist or doctor, get a surgical referral that states why you are seeing us.
  • Collect any relevant X-rays and bring them to your consultation.
  • Provide us with a complete list of your current medications.
  • Go to the Online Forms page on our website and complete the new patient paperwork ahead of your visit.
  • If you are under the age of 18, you must bring a parent or legal guardian to your appointment.
